Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
BizHive (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-registered business based in Preston, England. We provide done-for-you business systems — websites, AI assistants, booking systems, and automation — to UK small businesses.
For data protection queries, contact us at hello@bizhive.io.
2. What data we collect
We collect three categories of data:
- Account data — name, business name, email, phone, billing details (via Stripe; we never see your card number).
- Service data — information you give us about your business so we can build your site, train your AI assistant, and configure your booking system.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, error logs, and anonymised analytics to improve the product.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Build and maintain the services you've subscribed to
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
- Improve the product (anonymised, aggregated only)
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing. Ever.
4. Where your data is stored
All customer data is hosted on EU-based servers. AI model calls may route to US-hosted inference providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) — we use zero-retention agreements where available, and no personal data is sent to model APIs without your explicit configuration.
Payment data is handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold on you
- Rectification — correct anything wrong
- Erasure — delete your account and all associated data
- Portability — export your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — opt out of any processing you haven't consented to
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@bizhive.io. We respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies (for login, session, and security) and optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
7. Data breaches
In the unlikely event of a data breach, we'll notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware, in line with GDPR requirements.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and a banner on the site.
Placeholder note: This privacy policy is a working draft and should be reviewed by a qualified solicitor before being used in production with real customer data. BizHive accepts no liability for compliance shortfalls in this draft.
